Accessories program missing (home premium SP1)

I've had this Toshiba laptop a little over a month and no longer have an accessories program in the start menu, Program Files or anywhere on the computer. I don't have an OEM s disc or anywhere to get the program. Any Ideas?

I have no idea why it would disappear, but have you checked C:UsersYourNameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms?

Try this MS article which will have a link to download all of the default Start Menu shortcut items.

Accessories restored. I don't know if I'm inept or the computer's not consistent, but I went back to a restore point a week earlier and the Accessories appeared in Programs on the start menu as it should. I then undid the restore to current status and accessories are still there. Now my long list in Favorites is down to five and Woody's lounge was gone, but I can fix that. Thanks.

I'm not sure what your setup is, but on my computer Accessories is a folder, not a program. My Start/All Programs menu has a list of programs at the top (that seems to grow increasingly long) followed by the list of folders, of which Accessories is and always has been the first.

You have referred throughout to Accessories as a program. Maybe you were looking at the right list but lost your place by failing to note the distinction between programs and folders.
