    Link options

On the odd chance that I missed something in my research, is there a way to modify the following

    [A HREF="http://news.bbc.co.uk/" TARGET="_top"]BBC News[/A] (where [ and ] are substitutes for angle brackets)

to open the BBC site and immediately do a page down?

I know... I know... it does sound strange but I do have a need to do this for a particular site.

    Cheers,
    Regards,
    PaulB

    Hi Paul

If it is this specific page you are looking to work on, you can get the page to open at a particular bookmark

like so BBC NEWS | News Front Page

The url is in fact http://news.bbc.co.uk/default.htm#startcontent

where #startcontent directs the browser to the bookmark.

    You can also try:

like so BBC NEWS | News Front Page------further down the page

Thanks, Jerry. The site in question is not the BBC and I have no control over it. The site does not have #bookmarks... that would be too easy, wouldn't it!

BTW, your second example does not appear to work, at least not today. There is no #c bookmark on this page. Or is this something other than a label?

    Cheers,
    Regards,
    PaulB
