Outlook Exchange / Web Access (Exchnage Mail 2003)

I use the internet (https://mobile.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/exchange/) for receiving, sending and storing business email. Is there a simple way to archive or otherwise retain the emails and attachments to my physical hard drive? I know I can simply forward and email to myself using a different email address that would come to my personal Outlook.

But that's not what I'm after - I'm looking for a quicker method of copying entire InBox subfolders to my machine containing hundreds and hundreds of emails. Thoughts?

You can't do that using Outlook Web Access. You need to use Outlook for that.

You'd either need to get a VPN connection so that you can run Outlook, or you'd have to ask the Exchange admin to create a .pst file for you and send it to you on CD or DVD.

    Well.....

I do have my business laptop here beside me. And I can log onto my email account using VPN. Am I correct in thinking that I can simply copy the .pst from the laptop? (Laptop has a burner) And if so, I should then be able to place that disc in my PC, and open the .pst with my normal version of Outlook??? And while I'm writing this, I'm thinking it's not going to work because my PC has OL2007...

Yes, you can copy the .pst file from your laptop to your desktop. Then, in Outlook 2007, select File | Open | Outlook Data File... It should be able to open a .pst file created in an earlier version of Outlook.
