    Conditional Formatting (2003)

I would like to conditional format cells so that the combination giving the greatest value can be highlighted

AE AF AG AH AI AJ
    Cut 1, a 1 Cut 1 a 2 Cut 1 a 3 Cut 1 b1 Cut 1 b 2 Cut 2
    Row 10 15.3507 15.5627 18.32695 15.6698 17.85374 29.3843

So if the maximum of cut 1a plus maximum of cut 1b is higher than 2, than I want these two cells highest values cells of 1a and 1b to be highlighted,

Likewise if 2 is higher than the maximum of 1a and 1b than I want 2 highlighted.

The ‘if’ formula to show the highest possible combination value is shown below, however it is the conditional formatting that I am having trouble with.

    =IF(((MAX($AE10:$AG10)+MAX($AH10:$AI10))>AJ10),(MA X(AE10:AG10)+MAX(AH10:AI10)),AJ10)

    Any thoughts appreciated

    Re: Conditional Formatting (2003)

See the attached version. There are different setups for A4:C4, D4:E4 and F4.
