Reading Material (Ultimate SP1)
I thought I picked up on this link yesterday here in The Lounge, but am unable to determine where I found it, so I thought I'd post it here for those who like reading stuff: TweakGuides.com - Vista Annoyances Resolved.
The site has been mentioned here in The Lounge a couple or three years ago, but not this article about Vista. Fair warning - the fella is quite verbose (my opinion) but it makes for some decent reference reading. Evidently when he wrote his TweakGuides for XP a few years ago he had some "trouble" with MS over the title. I saw that in this article among the verbosity. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
PS I guess I must've stumbled across the link at some "news" site I was reading, but you know how it is when you go back a day or so later on one of those sites. The content has mostly changed and you can't see exactly what you saw yesterday.
Edited to add: The post has had only a few reads so far, so I'll add what I forgot rather than making a second post. The 2005 Lounge post is at <post:=458,968>post 458,968</post:>. Also on the TweakGuides many pages is this link where you can download the guides (PDF) for BOTH Vista and XP: TweakGuides.com - The TweakGuides Tweaking Companion.

Re: Reading Material (Ultimate SP1)
I came across this article about 3 days ago and give it 5 stars! Finally, an intelligent and balanced approach to evaluating Vista. And, he hits the nail on the head when he brings up the "problems" people experience with Vista, the majority which are caused by ..... USER ERROR for the most part. His "TweakGuides" are simply great and full of useful information. Too bad there weren't more journalists like him who offer more facts than hype.Jeff
