Replace Vista with XP (WinXP SP3)

We got three Dell Latitude D830 laptops with Vista installed. Then reformatted and installed WinXP Sp3. Then downloaded drivers for each laptop from Dell using the service tags. Do you know of issues with using these drivers on XP? We are getting some connectivity drops between laptop and server even when on AC and Ethernet, with all AC power options set to Never.

I haven't heard of any connectivity issues. I assume that you did download and install the Windows XP drivers ?

Also, after you installed XP, did you install the drivers in the correct order ?

Does it mean that you uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" checkbox under Power Management tab in the NIC Properties window ?
BTW, this setting is the same for AC or Battery power option.

Thanks. Correcting the order did the trick
