Word Formatting Woes (Word 2000)

The formatting in the title row in a Word table doesn't stay consistent from one page to another. When printed colors vary and shading appears in some, not all, cells. On the monitor, everything looks good. It's not until you print that things change.
Help!!!

Are you using styles in these cells? If you use heading styles for example the cells should stay consistent. Otherwise i am having trouble picturing what you mean. Can you attach a copy of the document??? <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Yes, I'm using a heading style in the title row of the table.
