Export several vCal items (XP 2003)

How can I export several appointments at once, to the same vCal file? I want to coordinate my Outlook 2003 calendar with ones in Thunderbird and other versions of Outlook (2007) so it would be nice if I could save all my future events into a single file then import it into the other programmes. I hope this is possible. Thanks Frank.

As far as I know, Outlook doesn't handle vCalendar/iCalendar files with multiple appointments. You can use File | Import and Export with the Export to a file option to export appointments to a comma-separated file; you should be able to import this into other e-mail programs.

Thanks Hans, I'll try the .csv option.

I think 2007 does export more than one Calendar item in iCal format, there was a thread in here about it soon after 2007 was released. I'm still on '03. But whether your target program will read multi-item ics or vcs files is another question. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    Thanks John.
Since yesterday I have examined the vCal file, and it looks like it could store more than one BEGIN:VEVENT / END:VEVENT pair. I am trying to coordinate Outlook 2007 with Thunderbird as part of PortableApps, but it only handles iCal and .csv formats. I will try exporting from 2007 and see how T'bird handles that, but if not will have to use .csv and make sure everything matches up for fields/columns. An event lasting several days shows up differently in T'bird than in OL2003 so I can't be to hopeful. Maybe there turns out to be an add-in for Thunderbird that will do the job? We'll see.
