Unable to Export or Copy Query Results (Access 2003)

I have an Access database which has been linked to an external source. I can usually run a query and select the results for copying into Excel. I have also been able to Export the results into a csv file to bring that into Excel. Up until today, anyway. Now the menu command Export is grayed-out and the progress bar when copying does not progress past one dot. I tried the Compress and Repair, but still no copying or Exporting is allowed.
Suggestions for fixing this (these) problem(s) are greatly appreciated.

I have no idea what the problem is.

Does everything else work as normal? Is your database connecting to the external source normally, and able to see the data ?
    Regards

Re: Unable to Export or Copy Query Results (Access 2003)

Good news. Good news. And not so good news.
I can see that the results which are updated daily have updated to include yesterday's results.
I found that by shrinking the query result set to select just yesterday's results. Then I tried copying and . . . Success! (But that's only 977 records and I usually query for around 40k records).
But the Export function is still grayed-out from my query results and I don't remember that having been a problem before.

Have you tried to compact and repair the database (Tools | Database Utilities | Compact and Repair)?

If that doesn't help, try Help | Detect and Repair... (have your Office CD at hand).
