    Hibernate/Auto Restart (XP SP 3)

Hi, Sorry if this is basic, however, I need to know whether there is an automatic way to get a system out of hibernate or standby. I am helping a non-profit radio station. Their transmision uses programs between 6am and 12pm daily but nothng between 12 and 6. It is an unmanned station. It would be great if I could put the system on hiber or standby and get it to automatically start up at 5:50, go down at 12:05 etc. No idea how to do it at this point. Any ideas?

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

You can use a scheduled task to hibernate automatically at a specified time each day. See Hibernation.
You can use another scheduled task to start a program (any program) and wake up the computer while doing so. See Automatically wake a hibernating Windows XP machine.

    HansV,

Thankyou very much for that. I have spent hours trying to sort this out.
