Shared folders on dual boot machines.

On my dual boot machine (Me and 2k), I share the same folder/partition for various kind of file (like My Documents) with no apparent problems - so far . I would like to try sharing a common folder for Outlook Express, so that emails picked up whichever operating system I am using, will be readable the next time I boot up; but I am much less certain that this will work. Can two versions of OE share the same folder? It doesn't seem to matter for My Document, but Win2k is installed on NTFS.
