    Coding a userform (2003 SP2)

    Afternoon all

I had a lot of help last year with a holiday calendar that I was setting up. It has worked well but the powers to be have asked for it to be re-jigged to allow for double the staff as we have taken over another firm, and to add our other offices in the UK, India and Singapore.

I have made most of the changes in the master workbook and that works OK but I cannot get my head around coding the userform despite reading several 'dummy books' and searching the interwebby.

Could somebody show me how I can get the userform to match the information in the worksheet, hopefully the attachment will make a little more sense (I have taken out the Holiday Conditional Formatting to squeeze in under the 100kb mark for the attachment) basically what I am looking at happening is

    1. Choose the staff member and the absence type (there is special formatting coded into the WB that correspond with the Absence range)
    2. Enter the to and from dates which would then match the dates in the monthly calendar
    3. Select the option button if that personís holiday also includes weekends and public holidays

    And then update the WS

    Any ideas please

    Cheers

Er, what do you expect of us? To write ALL the code for the userform for you? No thanks!

    Hi Hans

No, I did not expect the code I just did not know how to get the dates to match the cells, I can do it manually but not with the form, as I mentioned I have tried to find the solution in the VBA books that I have but could not identify the process to match the names and dates.

I am away for the weekend and fearing the worst have already packed JW's dummy book and Bill Jelen's tome (I am now 3 kilos over the baggage allowance <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> ).

    Have a good weekend

    Cheers

I had expected there to be some code behind the userform already, but there's NOTHING except some empty event procedures. I'm afraid I don't understand what you want to accomplish, your workbook gives no indication...
