    Command Button Normal View (2002)

Is there any way to make a command button work in normal view? My macro will work in normal or slide show views, but I can't figure out how to get a button or hyperlink to work in design view.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

I'm afraid that buttons and hyperlinks only work when you view the presentation as a slide show, not while you're designing it.

You *can* run a macro in design view, though: Select Tools | Macro | Macros... (or press Alt+F8), select the macro from the list and click Run.

    Thanks for your quick reply!

To give you an idea of what we want to do, hopefully you can help us.

We have multiple departments that will be presenting their own presentations (we want to combine them into a single presentation). We would like to be able to view each presentation in a collapsed format on the outline so that the viewers will see each presentation rather than every slide. Is that possible in powerpoint?

We are not doing hyperlinks because we would still like the viewers to be able to look at the presentation in design view so that the notes pane is easily accessible for the users.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again!

You can open multiple presentations, each in its own window. But you can't see multiple presentations in the outline in a single window.
