    Conditional Formatting help (2003)

How would I create a conditional format for the following:

I highlight the range and within that range, anything that has the word Gain, I would like to bold and make red.

    Select the Range.
Look at the address box on the left hand side of the formula bar to see which cell is the active cell within the selection.
In this example, I'll assume it is cell C11.
    Select Format | Conditional Formatting...
Select Formula Is from the first dropdown.
Enter the following formula in the box next to it:

    =NOT(ISERROR(SEARCH("Gain",C11)))

Click Format... and specify the formatting that you want.
    Click OK twice.

    Re: Conditional Formatting help (2003)

I think this two Conditional Formatting formulas, can do the same work :

    =OR(SEARCH("Gain",A1))

    or

    =SEARCH("Gain",A1)

    Regards
    Bosco
