ref macro (word 2007)

    Hello,

Can anyone help me with creating a macro to reference a field? In other words, I need to have a macro that when ran, copies a field and places it in another field. What I am trying to do is make it so when a checkbox is activated, it places a copy of my sub total dollars field in the warranty discount field. Than I can run a formula to subtract the two and show a total of $0.00. Thanks

Well, it depends. If you are using "legacy controls" from Word 97-2003, yes, I know how to copy between those fields. Here's an example:

ActiveDocument.FormFields("Field2").Result = Trim(ActiveDocument.FormFields("Field1").Result)
