Currency display in query (2000 SP3)

    Hi,
I'm trying to personalise a mailshot & I can't figure out how to display currencies in a query.

I'd like it to mailmerge : "Your Current hourly rate is 12.50"

What I get is "Your Current hourly rate is 12.5"

    In the query I've tried:

    P1: "Your Current hourly rate is " & CCur(round([T:HourlyRatesPerPerson]![Current HR],2))

    But that doesn't work.

I tried to find the help for CCur but I can't even find the help for it!

    Thanks,
    Jim MacLeod

    Try

    "Your current hourly rate is " & Format([T:HourlyRatesPerPerson], " 0.00")

Thanks, So simple!, sorry for being thick. I use that all the time in Excel!

Any idea why I can't get help on CCur ? Access Help doesn't find it when I search for it.

    Thanks
    Jim

CCur converts an expression to the Currency data type, but it doesn't format the data.

I don't know why it can't be found in your help file. See for example CCur Function.

It is often the case you will things in the Visual Basic Help that you won't find in Access help. So Activate the VBA Editor (Alt + F11), then look in Help.

If I search for CCur it finds Type Conversion functions and that has some stuff about CCur.
PS This was in Access 2003.

    John

    THank you,

I assumed that since I could use it in a query, it would be in the "standard" help file, not the VB one.

    Thanks again,
    Jim

The functions you can use in queries in Microsoft Access are all VBA functions.
