    close all windows

    Potentially helpful small <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> application (only 18KB) - Close All Windows - NTWind Software.

    Description from the web page:

"This tool helps you to close all running applications with one click. It does not use system resources because it only flashes a ‘close’ signal to all open windows on the desktop and then ceases. Just place a shortcut to the tool in the Start Menu, Quick Launch or elsewhere."

    Re: close all windows

I set up something similar using AutoHotKey. Since I never use the sleep function to it I assigned the sleep key to perform this function. I also set the power key to quickly switch off windows. Having such functions associated with a keyboard key is more convenient.
