    Multi Color Fill (MS Office Pro 2003 SP3)

    Can Excel be forced to dispay two colors of my choosing in one cell .......... for example yellow and black separated along the diagonal from the top left to bottom right of a specific cell?

    No, that is not possible,

    You could fill the cell with yellow and draw a black triangle on top of the cell, but that would hide part of the cell contents (if any).

    Another option is to create picture object of the desired scheme and put it over the cell contents and have it move and resize with the cell
