    1590 Error (2003)

    I am getting the following error message after my desktop boots and I try to open any application, even when I try to open MS Word. Everything continues to work though after clicking OK.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Although Word is one of the applications in which this occurs, it appears to be a Windows problem more than a Word problem, since it happens in all applications. I'll move this thread to the Windows XP forum.

    Winbatch is a scripting language. Version 2000c is very old. Check any scripts that are run at logon. You may be able to find more information at WinBatch®, the batch language for Windows, your scripting solution..

    Re: 1590 Error (2003)

    Joe,
    The WinBatch site had the following to say about the 1590 error. I don't know what to do with it though. Any thoughts?

    Question:
    I keep getting the error 1590 FileDelete Failed. I know the files are not in use when I execute the function, any ideas?
    Answer:
    One of the files is READ-ONLY. Use the function FileAttrSet to remove the Read-Only attributes on all the files...
    DirChange("C:Temp")
    FileList=FileItemize("*.*")
    FileAttrSet(FileList,"r")
    FileDelete(FileList)

    Thanks in advance for your assistance.
