    MIRAR Toolbar

Hi folks. Wondering if anyone can assist me. Somehow this darned MIRAR toolbar got installed on my XP (SP2) laptop, I don't want it, never (deliberately) asked for it or installed it, and want to remove it. Trouble is, seems I can download lots of software for free, but to actually make it delete MIRAR I have to buy it.

If I have to, I will buy, but thought I'd ask the question here first - does anyone know of something free which will get rid of this thing?

Here's directions from Symantec - Adware.Mirar - Symantec.com. Here's another set of directions - Mirar Removal Instructions and Information :: Uninstall, Remove and Delete Mirar. You can also try using Spybot - Search & Destroy©® - The home of Spybot-S&D! and Ad-Aware 2008 Free - Lavasoft. Both are <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and well known anti-spyware products.

Thanks Joe. I'll start off with SpyBot and let you know how it goes.

    Cheers
