    Export Calendar entries (WXpHeSp3 Off2003)

I know how to export entries to excel and access, also how to map fields. However exporting to excel or access results in loosing recurrances. So this is what I am trying to do: export a particular category of my calendar entries - all of which are reurring. Can this be done please?

I don't think it's possible to filter the categories prior to the export - but if you export all the items for a given date range, and ensure that the Category field is included, you can then of course filter the list in Excel or Access. I haven't spotted any way to export recurring items only, I'm afraid.

Just a thought, if you change your view, current view, in calendar to recurring appointments only, does this help?

You could create a new folder and copy all appointments belonging to a specific category to that folder, then export that folder.

Hi Hans, thanks for that. I created a new calendar, and copied the four weeks worth of appointments to it. No problems in the copying except that the recurrance got changed from weekly evey 4 weeks to weekly every 1 week! Not too onerous to change them, though I was dismayed that this happened.

Hi Paul, thanks for the post. However changing the view does not affect the export unfortunately. Methinks that the export options are not comprehensive.

    Hi Stephen, That's a shame, must be Outlook 2003, as I tested this in 2007 to check that it worked. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
