    Cut & Paste Rich Text (2003 SP3)

I am saving some posts from an yahoo email group that I belong to and I would like to save them in excel
WHen I select the section of the email that I would like to save and paste it into my excel column it goes into several rows not one with wrapped text - I have selected wrap text and merge cells and that does not help
I am told that this format is rich-text vs HTML - which I dont know anything about but thought it might help in my search to fix this problem
    Thank you
    Kate

Excel is not the ideal application for this - a table in a Word document might be better suited to your purpose, since Word is more text-orientated than Excel.
But you could do the following in Excel:

    1) Select all cells in the worksheet (Ctrl+A), then set them to wrap text in the Alignment tab of Format | Cells...

    2) When you have copied some text from an e-mail or web page, double-click the cell where you want the text, then paste. Alternatively, click the cell then press F2 before pasting. All copied text will end up within the cell.

    Thank you
I am currently cutting and pasting the ones I already did that appear as
    rows
I have to paste into a word doc or email first so I can paste (due to the
fact that the double click deletes the selected copy section)
Thank you it is working just fine -
    BUT
why does this text appear in the new doc like a photo would with all of the
little squares around it when you click on it- JUST CURIOUS
    As Always
    Thank you

I don't know why the text is pasted as a picture. You could also try Edit | Paste Special..., this will give you a choice of options how you want to paste; you can experiment to see which option suits you best.
