    Don't autocorrect CAPS (word 2003)

I want to autocorrect to the full name of my institution when I type lowercase, but leave as-is when I put caps.
So scn becomes Some Company Name, but SCN stays as the abbreviated version. Auto correct just changes both, regardless.
    Any help? Thanks.

    AutoCorrect doesn't work like that.

You could define SCN as the AutoCorrect entry. In that case, Word would replace SCN with Some Company Name and leave scn unchanged.

But if you define scn as the AutoCorrect entry, all variants (sCn, Scn, SCN etc.) will be replaced with Some Company Name.

You could create an AutoText entry named scn that inserts Some Company Name. Since scn is only 3 characters, Word will not display a suggestion to insert the AutoText entry, but you can type scn and press F3 to insert Some Company Name.

Thanks Hans, I did some lateral thinking, and set up autocorrect to change s.. to SCN - two periods after the letter to avoid end of sentence ambiguity. This now works!
