    =SUMIFS() in Excel 2003 (2003)

    Hi, How do I get a work around to view the =SUMIFS() in Excel 2003. I have a 2007 file which has sumifs used and I get a #NAME when I open in 2003. Are there any add-ins or patches that I can run to view the file properly in 2007. Same problem would come for the new additional functions like averageif, averageifs, etc.

    I don't know of such a tool or add-in.

    If you need to share a workbook with users of Excel 2003 or before, you should avoid using features that were introduced in Excel 2007 such as SUMIFS etc. You can use SUMPRODUCT or array formulas instead - there are many examples of such formulas in this forum.

    Yes I would do that if I'm sharing with someone else. But I have received a file from a client who has used that and I do not have 2007. So I'm looking for add-ins or patches that can help me run the new functions effectively. I do not need a work-around for the functions. Thanks.

    As I wrote, I haven't heard of any such add-in or patch.
