    Hidden relationships (2003)

Hi. A colleague cannot get into the Relationships window - Tools/ Relationships is greyed out.
What might cause this? I understand the database links to data in lots of different database types. I don't think there are security settings as she is not asked for a separate Access password. Thanks, Andy.

Is the Relationships button on the Database toolbar disabled too? (This button is only available when you're in the Database window)

If it only occurs in one database, let the user try to compact and repair it. If that doesn't help, import all database objects into a blank new database.

Wouldn't the relationships would only show if they were internal to the database? You say that there are many links to different external database files - I would have thought any relationships would be established in queries (cannot test this at the moment - just my thoughts). <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

But even then, the Relationships menu item and toolbar button shouldn't be disabled (greyed out).
