Double Lines etc (Office PowerPoint 2002)

All of my graphics are appearing as doubles. Its as if a shadow had been turned on. How do I make this shadow go away.

When I click on the line draw icon, the end points appear, but the line weight is zero. Then when I choose a line style, whatever style I choose appears twice.

Is this some kind of bug?

Have you checked whether it is actually a shadow?
What happens if you select a shape and set the shadow style (popup button on the Drawing toolbar) to No shadow? If that helps, you can select Drawing | Set AutoShape Default.
