    Add/remove (Windows XP-Home Edition)

Hello. Do you know of any reasons why the add/remove option of the control panel will not come on when it is clicked on ? I do get a quick sound when I click the add/remove part of the control panel. The other control panel options come up immediately when mouse clicked. The last time I clicked on the add/remove option a few weeks ago, it was working fine. I did install Revo Uninstaller 10/12/2008 which has been adding and removing programs fine. Thanks for any feedback.

Try Troubleshooting Windows XP, Tweaks and Fixes for Windows XP; go to line # 146, and click Undo on the right-hand side (this is a .reg file, you'll have to confirm that you want to run it; you can also download the file to hard disk then open it.). You'll probably have to restart your PC to see the effect.

Thank you for the tip. I tried it but there is no change in my ability to access the add/remove program via the control panel.

    Try the following:
    - Select Start | Run...
    - Type APPWIZ.CPL and press Enter or click OK.
Does the Add/Remove control panel start, or does it fail?
