    Update Links with out reopening the file (Excel 2003)

    Can I update links in an Excel file without reopening the file.
    I get sent an updated spreadsheet from someone in another office which my file has links to.
    I save the new file but my open sheet is still displaying the old data, is there a quick command to update the open sheet or should I just create a macro that saves, closes and then re-opens my file?

    You could select Edit | Links..., select all links in the list, then click Update Values.

    The VBA equivalent would be a macro that executes the single line

    ActiveWorkbook.UpdateLink Name:=ActiveWorkbook.LinkSources
