    The quick brown fox (All)

Can someone remind me of the formula that generates sentences and paragraphs consisting of this old typing exercise.
    Thanks

    =rand(x,y)

x is the number of paragraphs and y the number of sentences in each paragraph

And what happens when one use the rand function in another language version than the English? Not the OP's question but as an extra.

Well, our Woody mentioned the old function and asked the readers of WOODY's OFFICE WATCH to tell what they got in their versions, and covered some of the function's tweaks. WOW Vol 8 No 15 30 April 2003.

No. 16 also mentions it very briefly

Then the entire issue of Vol 8 No 17, 15 May 2003, was dedicated to the different language versions of the rand function.

"Servez à ce monsieur une bière et des kiwis." French, is this real? <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Fun, but I think "Lorem ipsum &c" is more useful, and agree with the author of the article you linked to. Thanks for the link.

In Word 2007, "the quick brown..." has been replaced by (I think) random sentences from Word help text, and the lorem... dummy text has been added. If you type =lorem(10,9), you'll see that each paragraph is different.
