New appointments automatically set as reoccurring (Outlook 2007)

After I have created a new appointment/ meeting (without defining it as recurring) and save it. When i review it (or my calendar) at a later stage I find that the meeting has changed to a recurring meeting at weekly intervals. This has occurred whether I have invited other people or just set an entry for my own purpose. I have recently move my data (including settings) to a new notebook and am only experiencing this issue.

I also have Nokia PC Suite running which is syncing to outlook regularly (but have had this on the previous notebook also).

The only way to fix is to manually remove the recurrence and after having done so it doesn't create any further issues.

Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated to resolve this annoying issue.

    Thanks in advance.

See if Outlook 2003 changing appointments to recurring - Microsoft.com Communities helps. There is mention of Outlook 2007 in the thread.
