    allowing cookies - how ? (XP-sp2 or 3)

I used to be able to allow cookies by going to Interenet Explorer, then Tools, then Options. Apparently, Windows has done something to change that, and I can't
find out how to allow cookies now. I've fiddled around and trapped myself with signing a password any time I want to look at a website now, including my own!
    I hate Microsoft.
It's hard for dummies like me - any guidance will be apprecaited,
    and thanks for past help.

See Optimal Browser Settings for Using these Boards. It explains how to allow cookies from the Lounge in Internet Explorer and Firefox. You can apply the same method to other websites.
