One member per dimention is allowed (Excel2003)

Hi! I am working with Essbase in Excel.
The formula I am trying to alter is =EssCell($A$1,$A$2,$A$3,C$1,$A22)
When I am editing it as =EssCell($A$1,$A$2,$A$3,C$1,$A22,$B$2) - I am getting an error 'Only one member per dimention is allowed'
Please, tell what does it mean?

That's an Essbase error not an Excel error, so you might get better help in an Essbase forum. I can only assume you have tried to request 2 different items from the same dimension (field).

Please be aware that each formula that uses EssCell makes a separate call to the server each time the sheet is recalculated. So if you have 100 cells with EssCell formulas, you'll have 100 separate calls to the database.

If you use EssBase Retrieve, only one call to the server is made for the entire Retrieve sheet.
