Re: Day by Day (Excel 2003)

If you enter a start date (for example November 11, 2008) in a cell, for example in cell B1.
In the cell below it, i.e. in cell B2, enter the formula =B1+1
Fill B2 down as far as needed.
If you change the start date in cell B1, the dates in B2 etc. will be adjusted automatically.

If you want to skip weekend days, make sure that Analysis ToolPak is activated (i.e. that its check box is ticked in Tools | Add-Ins...)
Change the formula in B2 to =WORKDAY(B1,1)
If Excel displays the result as a number, format the cell as a date.
Again, fill down as far as needed.
You can also create a range with holidays, e.g. H1:H50, and make the formula exclude those days too:
    =WORKDAY(B1,1,$H$1:$H$50)
I used an absolute reference for the holiday range because we don't want it to be adjusted when you fill down the formula.

    Thanks to you both.
Hans, I had actually done that and struggled because I did not changed cells to Date format and it was giving me 3485767 numbers...
    Thanks so much! It works.
