    Template (2000, SR-1)

Which Excel file stores the user settings, such as the custom toolbar? Thanks.

They are stored in a variety of places. The tool bars are stored in the <username>8.xlb file.

Isn't that for XL97 Legare? In XL2000 it is just Excel.xlb

The exact name probably does depend on the version of Excel and possibly the version of windows. However, the file extension is .xlb in all versions as far as I know. I just noticed that XL97 on NT uses <username>8.xlb. However, XL97 on Win 98 appears to use Excel8.xlb.
