Using RegEx In Word And Excel (MS Office 2003)

Is there a reference source that will tell me how to use RegEx with Word and Excel. I would like to know how the RegEx syntax is different when using Word And Excel. Thank you in advance for your reply.

As I mentioned in your other recent thread, neither Word nor Excel support regular expressions.

Edit | Find in Word supports a subset of regular expressions while searching with wildcards - see Add power to Word searches with regular expressions.
Edit | Find in Excel only supports the use of wildcards * and ?.

In VBA, you can add regular expression support by setting a reference to the Microsoft VBScript Regular Expressions n library where n is a version number (on my PC, versions 1 and 5.5 are available).
See Microsoft Beefs Up VBScript with Regular Expressions.
