    Data Leakage (Access 2007)

Has any one had issues with data missing from an Access 2007 database?

I have a user that is entering data into her database, then going back days later to update the record only to find the record missing.
This has only been an issue since the update from 2003 to 2007.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

My apologies for responding so late - I've been travelling for a week (felt like a month).
Is the database using the 2002/2003 format (.mdb) or the 2007 format (.accdb)? I've not seen any instances with the 2002/3 format, but we don't use the 2007 format. In fact most of our data storage is done in SQL Server.

It is a 2003 database that has been converted to the 2007 format.

Unfortunately I don't work with that format, so I don't have any personal experience. And I did a web search to see if I could find other reports of data leakage associated with the .accdb format and didn't really find anything.

In the meanwhile, there are other possibilities to look at. Is the database being stored on removeable storage? Is the database split into a front-end and a back-end? How often is it compacted and repaired? Is the database back-end stored on the local hard drive of the user, or is it on a network? And how many users actually edit the data?
