displaying a custom toolbar (XL2000 to 2007 progression)

I will have to move my XL 2000 workbooks into the brave new world of XL 2007. Is suspect this will be the first of many questions...

In XL 2000 I have a custom toolbar that is always visible. It only comprises three buttons, tied to three macros. In XL 2007 this toolbar ends up on the Add-Ins tab. This is inconvenient. I'd like it to be always visible, preferably in the top right, where it always used to be and ready for use with a single click.

    Can this be done?

You can add a button to your QAT (the new tiny toolbar) that points to your macro. Rightclick the QAT for options.

Thank you, since my original post I've stumbled across that option but it prompts another quesion...

Can I customise the apearance of this button on the QAT? If you can I've not found out how to as yet. In XL 2000 there was a 'change button image' option if you were customising toolbars. Without a similar option it looks like macros associated with QAT buttons will all have the same icon on them, making it harder to find the button I want.

    (a bit less) stuck

While stil in the customise screen, click your custom button and click the "Modify" button below the list of buttons.

    <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15> How did I miss that option?

    ...but...

XL 2000 would let you draw your own button image as well as select from presets, is that still possible?

    (not really) stuck
