Launching a PPT from an FTP site problem (all)

We have a bunch of PowerPoint files (in PPT format) on an internal FTP site. Links on our internal training web page point to the PPT files. If you click one, instead of launching PowerPoint and opening the file, Internet Explorer opens and the file is presented as a show. I don't want a show, I want the option to view the notes pages, eh!

How can I force the computer to open the PPT in PowerPoint instead of a show in Internet Explorer?

Thanks, Hans. It looks like, from what I can gather, we're basically boned on this one. Oh, well!

Do you want to do this (open in Powerpoint) for everyone or just you? All the time or just periodically?
