    Context Menus (Ultimate)

Is there a good tools, or a reliable method to hide (not necessarily remove) items from a file/folder context menu? The context menus are getting longer and more unwieldy by the minute it seems.

Hopefully it would be an easily "re-trace" method in case of change of heart.

    Regards,

You might use ShellExView (free from NirSoft), but be careful that you don't disable essential ones.

Note: some security programs detect NirSoft utilities as suspicious.

Thanks. I think after looking at it, I may leave it alone for now, because even Nirsoft's prog didn't/doesn't list all items, and certainly not all in recognizable names.

Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Did you run the program as an administrator? On my system at work it lists 356 shell extensions. Which do you believe are missing?

Yes, I ran it as Administrator, and I got some 332 as well. I noticed right away some of the commonest items that I never have (nor will) use, like "Share" and "Backup." I could very easily just not be recognizes the items, as they aren't (necessarily) listed by the same title or words that appear in the menus.
