    TOC printing Error Bookmark not Defined (word 2003)

    when in print view the toc looks good - i have edit the toc and i know the bookmarks do not all work - but i need to print the toc
    as i see it in print view
    is it possible right now everytime i try to print it ms word does an automatic update and creates the error bookmark message and prints
    it instead of want i see in print view thanks for any help russ @techexpressinc.com

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge.

    Select Tools | Options...
    Activate the Print tab.
    Clear the check box "Update fields".
    Click OK.

    Word should leave the TOC alone now when you print a document.

    Hans - Great idea - but it failed the box was already clear update fields. Russ i put the file out on the internet

    Try this:
    - Select the TOC while it looks good.
    - Press Ctrl+F11 to lock the TOC against being updated.

    If you ever want to unlock the TOC so that it can be updated again, select it and press Shift+Ctrl+F11.
