Documents and Settings (Vista Home II)

Hi there: I'm trying to install some *.xmp files into Photoshop CS4, and they're supposed to go into Cocuments and SettingsYour ComputerAp Data|etc. etc. I can see a shortcut of Documents and Settings (once I "unhide it," but Vista denies me entry, and doesn't give me an option to open as an administrator etc. (This is a home computer; I'm the administrator, and aI udomatically log onto the computer without having to choose a user.)

Documents and Settings does not exist under Vista. What you see is just a shortcut for legacy applications that have not been changed to Vista's folder structure. The folder is now in C:Usersuser-nameDocuments. If you are looking for AppData it is located at C:Usersuser-nameAppData. The files should most likely go in a folder under either Local or Roaming in AppData.

Glad you got it figured out. Thanks for posting back. Another Lounger may be able to use that information.
