    Using formulas (MS access 2007)

    In one of my reports i use the following formula that i founded in an example on the web:
    Total = CCur(Clng([Delivered] * [UnitPrice] * ( 1 - [Discount]) * 100) / 100 * [VAT]

    The result is Ok, but I don't understand this formula quiet well. I wonder why we must first multiply the last factor with 100 and afterwards divide the whole product by 100?

    It's probably intended to get rid of rounding errors, but your formula is incomplete - it contains 3 opening parentheses ( and only 2 closing parentheses )
