    increasing windows ram (xpsp3)

Is there any way to increase the 4 gb size limit on winxpsp3 ram other than use a 64 bit os. I might have structured my software incorrectly but the things that are getting real time data continuously are contained in the ram and things that happen only sometimes are put into the page files. This creates a different delay for processing that for the continuous inputs. I would like to have everything in ram which, as I measure it would require about 3 gb. I have 4 gb of physical ram but only about 2.3 gb is available for use. I gather from an intel article that this basic limitation is because there are not enough bits in the drivers to do the addressing. The difference from 4 gb is caused by various uses of memory by the os. Apparently the 64 bit xp would fix the problem but I would like to know whether there is some way to fix it while using the 32 bit version.
