    using Regedit (Vista SP1)

    I have a second drive with XP installed. From my Vista drive is it possible to use regedit to read the registry of the second drive. The second drive is not bootable (I'm working on it).
    Thanks

    You need to use the "Load Hive" function. See How do I use Regedit to edit a second XP install - Windows XP Support for more information.

    I know you didn't ask this but if you don't already have it you might try installing VistaBootPRO on your Vista drive. I don't know if it will help you fix the non-bootable XP drive but it could come in handy.

    Thanks for the links and sorry I'm slow getting back. You know, when it rains it pours.
