    Restricting Query (Access 2007)

If I have 3 separate vendors, and, in their "Notes" field, is the following info:

    1. Offers a volume discount

    2. Offers no discounts

    3. Will discount on quantity purchases

Now, if I want to create a query showing only vendors that *do* offer discounts, how the heck would I isolate and extract those?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

In the criteria for the Notes field, enter the following:

    <>"2. Offers no discounts"

(assuming that the text is exactly as posted by you, otherwise modify it as needed)

    Alternatively, you could use

"1.Offers a volume discount" Or "3. Will discount on quantity purchases"

    Yet another possibility:

In ("1.Offers a volume discount", "3. Will discount on quantity purchases")
