count if using arrays (XP & 2003)

I have used the formula with "sumif" or "sumproduct" in the past. I now want to do the same only with a count of items. For instance, Count if X>=0 or " ". This gets a little trickier because each of the matrices are on a different worksheet, which may have the same identifiers but located in different cells. I put together a 5 page work book example showing 3 data pages and two summary pages. one of the summary pages will give me the totals of each of the unique variables the other need to give the count of each of the unique variables.

Is it possible to summarize for the total amount and the total number amount as requested?

    Thank you

    You could use something like

    =SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(INDIRECT("'DATA GROUP "&ROW($1:$3)&"'!B9"),">0"))

See the thread starting at <post:=73,094>post 73,094</post:> for other options.

Laurent Longre's free add-in Morefunc for Excel contains a custom function COUNTIF.3D

    Hans,
Does Laurent Longre still frequent the lounge? The reason I ask is that there is an error on his English page and it will not let you download the free add-in. I poked around a bit, but not knowing any French, I could not even determine how to report the issue. I would like to download the add-in....THANKS.

No, Laurent Longre isn't active in Woody's Lounge.
There are many alternative download sites for his Morefunc add-in, for example Morefunc - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com.
