Cannot uninstall Firefox Mozilla (Mozilla 3)

A friend has Firefox Mozilla 3 - when he tries to go online with Mozilla, nothing happens. He uninstalled Mozilla and reinstalled it and this did not help. We then did a system restore back to before he started having the problem (8 days ago) and that still did not help. Mozilla simply will not open. Now he can not uninstall Mozilla. Internet Explorer is working fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

Several Loungers have reported successes with Revo Uninstaller (free).

He could try the options shown at Firefox will not start.

If he can start the profile manager he can also try creating a new profile. Firefox stores user data in a profile, creating a new profile will tell us if the problem is profile related.
Creating a new Firefox profile on Windows - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

If the new profile solves your problem he can then transfer some data such as bookmarks, passwords, cookies etc to the new profile. Do not copy the extensions, instead it is better to re-install them. See Recovering important data from an old profile

Has he tried deselecting Internet Explorer as his default browser? How many firewalls does he have in place? Too many may block it. It and Firefox can exist peacefully on a computer. HP advised that it is good to have 2 browsers, one for a backup in case one corrupts. Run defrag; disc cleanup before install. Firefox puts a small box right on the screen instead of desktop to install; need to click it to activate installation. I have it and install went through fine when I did the above actions. Contact their website if you have problems.
