    Variable detail section height (Access 2003 SP3)

    I have a report that is sorted inot Generic then Rank. What is required is that a line is left between the end of one group and the start of the next group. The start of a group is denoted by Rank = 1.
    Would i just setup a group header for a break in group (Generic and Rank = 1( and just print a blank line?

    How do i test for the break where rank = 1, i dont want it top break on rank other thn 1?

    How about using a footer to give the space after the group?

    You can control whether lhis space is shown by using the onformat event.

    eg -
    If [Rank] = 1 then
    me.Groupfooter1.visible = true
    else
    me.Groupfooter1.visible = false
    end if

    Thanks for your input but a break on Generic should be enough to do it.

    So i will show a group header on the break, it will be the same size as the detail section.
