Alphabetizing 'Select Names' list (Outlook 2003)

How can I set my "Select Names" listing used when addressing mail to list individuals in the usual "last name, first name" order? I used to have it that way on another computer at work before I retired, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to reset it to list them properly on my own machine here at home. Currently, every listing is listed in straight order, which is correct for company or non-individual names (such as "Woody's Lounge"), but how do I reset it to display individuals ONLY last name first such as "Cann, David E." as names normally are listed?

    Hans,
Those directions cannot be followed, unless I am missing something somewhere. Note they are for Outlook 2002, and I am using Outlook 2003, but I cannot follow the steps as listed in this post. I am going to go back and see if I can figure out a way to make it work but that was 7 years ago and a lot of changes have occurred since then. :-(

Hans -- SUCCESS! Your suggestion was correct, the problem was the example was written for Outlook 2002 and the steps are different in 2003 and VERY different in 2007 (I changed my laptop as well while I was at it). I am grateful to you for the help. It is alphabetizing just the way I want it now.

Could you post the steps for each version so other Loungers could benefit?
