    Format a referenced cell (2003)

I can’t remember if this is doable or not. I have a cell (L12) that is formatted as percentage. I am referencing this cell as a formula: =”my text “ & L12. The result displays the number as decimal but I need percentage. There is no format function I can use in the formula dialog box. Can I do this without creating my own VBA function?

    Try

    ="my text "&TEXT(L12,"0.0%")

You can change the format, of course.
